Maybe you've been managing the pain for a while now — telling yourself it's not that bad, pushing through because the kids need you, the job needs you, life needs you. You've googled symptoms, tried a few things, maybe even had a doctor hand you a prescription and call it a day.
But deep down, you know something is off. You miss how you felt before. You want to move without thinking twice. You want your life back.
That's exactly why Anointed Hands Wellness exists.
We are an integrative physical therapy and holistic wellness practice in New Lenox, Illinois. We combine evidence-based clinical care with non-traditional, whole-person approaches — because real recovery is never just about the body part that hurts. It's about the whole you.
Our founder, Jameka Muhammad, knows what it means to fight your way back.
Jameka is a licensed physical therapist with over 23 years of clinical experience. She's also a mom, a business owner, and a national gold medal masters track champion. She's stood on the podium — and she's also been the patient lying on the table wondering if she'd ever get back to doing what she loves.
That lived experience changes how she practices. When Jameka works with you, she's not just running through a checklist. She understands what it feels like to push through pain, to lose function, and to rebuild yourself step by step. She's done it. And she has spent more than two decades helping others do it too.
Jameka built Anointed Hands Wellness on a simple belief: your body has an incredible capacity to heal — when you give it the right environment, the right care, and the right support. Her approach goes further than managing symptoms. She works to understand the root cause, combining hands-on manual therapy with advanced modalities, nutritional support, and a genuine investment in your long-term well-being.
This is personal to her. And it will be personal to you.
Anointed Hands Wellness brings together a skilled, interdisciplinary team — physical therapists, registered nurses, massage therapists, and bodywork specialists — all working under one roof with one shared purpose: your recovery.
Our services span the full continuum of care:
Physical Therapy — hands-on, one-on-one rehabilitation tailored to your functional goals
IV Therapy — administered by registered nurses to support hydration, energy, immune function, and recovery
Infrared Therapy — deep tissue warming that reduces inflammation, relieves pain, and promotes circulation
Massage and Craniosacral Therapy — releasing tension held in the body's deepest structures
Lymphatic Drainage — supporting the body's natural detox and immune response
Weight Loss and Body Sculpting — non-invasive approaches to help you reach and sustain your goals
No single modality works for everyone. That's the point. We draw from the full range of what we offer to design a path that works specifically for you.
Our practice is faith-centered, and that shapes everything about how we show up for our clients.
We believe every person who walks through our doors carries inherent dignity. We believe healing is not a transaction — it's a partnership. We believe that compassion and clinical excellence are not opposites; they belong together.
Our mission is straightforward: to provide compassionate care that restores function and improves quality of life. We design every treatment plan around you — your goals, your lifestyle, your body, your timeline. There are no cookie-cutter protocols here.
We take your safety seriously. We take your comfort seriously. And we take your time seriously — which is why we do not rush you toward a medication or procedure before we have fully explored every avenue available to you.
